The name “Grandes Playas de Corralejo” (Corralejo Great Beaches) refers to the more than three kilometres of coastline of the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, one of the greatest attractive of the island of Fuerteventura. The beaches on this side of the coastline share the common denominator of fine, almost white golden sand and an impressive crystal-clear turquoise sea. On one side, a sea of dunes and, on the other, a sea of water, stretching for several kilometers in which to lose yourself and where, wherever you look, the view is a postcard image.

Punta Prieta is a beach of more than one kilometre long, very popular with lovers of wind sports such as windsurfing and kiteboarding, as many days a year the trade winds blow steadily and are suitable for sailing. But it is also perfect for strolling, relaxing in the sun or bathing with stunning views of the Lobos Island and the neighbouring island of Lanzarote.

"El Muellito", as it is also popularly known, is the town's beach, the most central and lively in the area.
